EA app and Sims 4 game keeps crashing on launch or when trying to save

The EA app crashes unexpectedly, today it crashed five times. Happened every time I've started it up the last few weeks.

When the EA finally doesn't crash (around one in five times) Sims 4 can't launch, the game just white-screens and crashes to desktop, either right away or after starting to play on a save file and trying to save.

I've tried rebooting and repairing Sims 4 multiple times, restarting the app, logging off and logging in again, restarting my computer (Windows 10), stopping EA background service from running and then starting the app again (seems to be a new bug lately that Sims 4 can't start if that's running, EA app just keeps loading forever) but NOTHING works!

I'm so sick of Sims 4 and EA app constantly crashing and not letting me play (messed around for an hour today, just getting it to work!), I might actually stop playing altogether...

Does anyone have any advice or know any fixes?

    @398n8p45miqd  Please uninstall the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), and restart your computer before reinstalling it.  Let me know whether that helps with the App crashing.

    If you still can't open Sims 4, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

    If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
