EA app can't repair the sims 4 game

I own most everything from the sims 4 except for a few kits, all bought from origin and the last 2 purchases from EA app. I recently downloaded the free base game from steam and tried to merge my packs. It broke all my dlc packs. I spent hours having the EA app repair my game except it didn't work. The EA app would go through the motions of downloading game content and say it repaired the game. But it didn't repair the game. See screen shot below.

The only way I could get my game repaired was to install Origin and it automatically repaired my game in the back ground behind the EA app notice. The EA app was saying the EA app was the only way to play the game was to install the EA app. Origin was able to repair my game but the EA app couldn't repair my game.

Because you added it on steam you can now only repair the game on steam. So, your solution should be that you reinstall the game on steam and then your DLC should be downloaded again with EA APP (You need to start EA APP manual because EA APP open and close itself if you start/close sims 4 via steam, at last it is my experience)

I have the same problem with the app on this old account, I can’t repair the game via EA app anymore because it required on my steam account, only with the problem that I unlinked my steam account, and the EA APP/ Account-Setting don’t recognize this step. (EA Support was no help with my issue and I would have given up on sims if my other half not surprise me with the whole sims4 collection again on my new steam / EA Account)

//To the DLCs; was worked for me was to start sims 4 via shortcut so I could avoid the *required* steam and it would start my copy from EA and not from steam. Origin added two copys to your library one from steam and on from EA, because of this, this issue is not existent there. EA APP only has one copy from games, and this causes all funny things + errors.

@DragonAge_300905  Since you may not be the only person affected by this issue, could you please list the packs that won't load in-game?  Or if it's all of them, that's fine, but it would be good to have a list of those that do load and those that don't, as well as where you own them (EA App or Steam).

I think it was all of them. The EA app was saying it repaired all the packs even though it never really repaired them, it kept downloading them all. I couldn't tell which packs origin repaired because the EA app had a big notice over the origin page. I could see under the EA app notice that origin was downloading but I couldn't see which packs it was repairing

Eta I didn't load the game because I didn't want to lose anything. I clicked to see what it said about the missing content, that I owned it,etc. but I never loaded the broken game. I would cancel the load and try to repair the game again when it said content was missing. I didn't load a broken save file. Also I bought everything in origin except fro the last 2 (Oh now I remember} The kids backyard kit and the bathroom clutter kits in the EA app.

Eta again I have everything except for a few clothing kits. Not the new sleepwear one, the men's skirt one and one other one. But I have the workout clothes one.
