EA app changed language of The Sims 4?

So my games have reappeared now in the EA app after disappearing. Only to find that when i launch my game, it launches in Dutch. I've always played the English version, so my saves are there as well. EA app creates a new folder called De Sims 4 instead of The Sims 4 and uses that one to launch the game. What might have happened and what can I do? I'd like to play the game in English and wíth my saves.
With the games vanishing from the EA app i've downloaded Origin and tried playing that way, but with al downloads and stuff, it wasn't worth it. Is it possible something went wrong there?

    @Nibbo0w  Please switch the language within Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, select Game Properties > Advanced Launch Options, and choose English from the menu.  Origin should switch things back for you, and then you can go back to using the EA App.

    The "De Sims 4" folder is normal—Dutch is one of four languages that has a localized user folder rather than naming it "The Sims 4."

    @huntergr5  You'll need to uninstall Sims 4 and reinstall it in the language you want to use.

    Please also make sure you haven't downloaded a mod that comes with a different language.  I've seen this happen to a few players who weren't aware that they downloaded a translation mod along with everything else.

    Hello, I have installed and re-installed three times. I went on YouTube to see what to do. I even downloaded Steam, all platforms show the English Version, but it still comes up in a language I don't know, so I am messing up my game because I do not understand what I am clicking. This is so frustrating. done three different ways I need help. It took me all day to make another family, and because I didn't know what it was saying, I deleted them, and now I'm pissed, bought new games, and can't read how to play them EA if it's something on your end please hurry up and rectify this problem

    @vanessacarter196  Steam offers the global version, which means you should be able to install the game in English.  What language are you seeing instead?  I've seen a couple cases where someone downloaded a mods/cc bundle that included a language the game itself doesn't support, so if you do use mods or custom content, please test without it.  Otherwise, let me know what language you see, or post a screenshot.

    Hey so!! I might be slow but I'm having issues with downloading The sims 4 game with english settings. I'm from Poland but i wanna play the game in english, i switched the EA app to english and everything. Tried to reinstall the game and choose english but literally the only language options that show up are either Polish, Czech or Russian. Dont know what to do atp
