EA app not showing my Sims 4 game

Hello all. I just got the EA app and it's not showing my Sims 4 in the library. I do have Sims 3 and it's showing up in the library but I have no idea where Sims 4 is. I looked in the thread with the EA app issues and I did try the closing the EA app and end EA backround in the task manager with no luck and I even tried clearing the cache in the EA app. I did see a thread saying something about signing into the EA app with the wrong log in details. My Sims 4 base game and the 2 expansions are physical copies (disks) and not downloaded so I can't imagine having other log in details aside from Origin and those log in details won't work on the EA app.

Any help is appreciated and I just want to play my Sims 4 game.

Thanks

Edit: Thanks to EA Solaire's message about using the info I created when I started the game years ago, I got my EA app to find my Sims 4 game and packs!! The game works now!

  • Hi @greenean71,

If you're not seeing The Sims 4 available in your game library, it sounds like you may have registered those game codes to a different EA account than the one you're currently logging in with. You'd need to locate the login details for the account that these codes were originally redeemed under and login to the EA app under that account instead, and you'll see The Sims 4 and your expansions available to access and play again.

If you need help locating which account these games have been redeemed to, that's something the live support team can look into with you- here on the forums we wouldn't have access to your specific account details to investigate this further. You can contact live support by submitting a help request on the site here and providing the team with your game code for The Sims 4 so they can help locate which account your games are currently registered to. If you have any issues getting in touch with the team through the help site, you can let me know!

  • Same here! I have had Sims 4 for four years, and have never had any problems. I last played the game last night, and I had no issues. Now, when I try to play, I’ve had to log in again for some reason, and when I did, Sims 4 was not showing up like it usually does. Instead, it launches a pop-up screen that reads: “You don’t have access”, “This title may have been downloaded to your device by another user who owns the game. Log in to a different account or restart the app to try again”.

There must be something happening in the recent EA update. I hope this gets fixed soon!

I have been playing Sims 4 since it was introduced and I'm not even getting the message you are getting. There is no Sims 4 anything on my EA app and I am quite frustrated that this has happened and I can't figure out how to get my game back.

  • Was there ever a fix to this?  I noticed the same problem on Sunday, after playing the game last week. I only have one EA account, and I just have a blank button where Sims 4 should be when I log on.  I'm going back and forth with EA help desk, but don't have a solution yet, and I'm getting frustrated.

  • @bektex  Try forcing the EA App to update.  Go here:

    C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop

    and launch the EAUpdater.exe.

If that doesn't help, remove the App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine) and reinstall it.
