EA App won't install 4/26 update, can't launch game

    This method worked for me: Go up to top left hand corner, click go offline, then click go online and it fixed for me.

The Sims 4 won’t update 

I have been trying to update the Sims 4 through the EA app for the last two days and every time I get to the end of the update it says it has completed but then the update button is still there. I can’t play the game until I update but I can’t get the update to work. I’ve already restarted my PC, repaired the game, scanned files for error and uninstalled and reinstalled the game but nothing has worked. No matter how many times I update it, the “Game update required” message is still there. Does anyone know what could be wrong?
