EA App won't install 4/26 update, can't launch game

    This method worked for me: Go up to top left hand corner, click go offline, then click go online and it fixed for me.

I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to update my game. I've followed some other threads on what to do. I've logged in and out of EA App, Restarted my pc, repaired my game files. The only option left is to uninstall. If I do that I will not install it again. I dislike this new app. I want my Origin back. I NEVER had issues with it. Any workarounds to launch my Sims 4 without the app? They should make it stand alone like all the other versions of the Sims.
