  • Uninstal game - reinstal
  • repair the game
  • switch from EA to Steam
  • uninstaled and cleaned gpy driver
  • fresh install of drivers
  • empty sims 4 and win caches as suggested by many ppls
  • tryed to correct config.log not recognising gpu
  • tryed to add sayd gpu to sims 4 gpu databate trough game doc
  • i use no mods
  • and more honestly i prolly forget few things..

the dxdiag follow an instant crash on game start up..im really desperate here..

Hoping someone can help me on this, thanks a lot for taking time to read this.

    https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/PRO-Z790-A-WIFI/support

And your current BIOS version is listed as 1.50, which unfortunately doesn't correspond to the way the versions are listed on the MSI site.  But it's probably a very old version since it starts with 1.  Point is, update the BIOS (and make absolutely sure you're downloading a BIOS provided for your exact board) and then see how the game runs.

    Hi there!

Just a quick follow up on the situation, i sent the pc to get the cpu updated as u told me, you were right on that part and it also seems i have a cpu that had recals due to significant instability problems, all thanks to you we solved this mess, wifey been playing non stop since than with zero crash :)

Thanks a lot for your help and wish you a wonderful day!

At any rate, I'm glad everything is working well now.

  • i have the same, i stopped playing with mods a while ago so i know its not that. after loading into the sims whenever it hits a point where it needs to do something, entering cas, loading a save, going from build mode to live mode, saving, etc my game screen will go completely black or white and i cant close the game without entering task manager. what's weirder is that for me the music keeps playing and i can technically still interact with the game, i just cant see what im interacting with. my mouse is still visible even once the screen has gone black/white too. my game is fully updated, im playing on the lowest settings possible because my laptop is about 7 years old. other games run fine like the sims 2 legacy edition, the sims medieval, the sims 3, etc along with other games on steam not EA.

  • AliceBaggins1980  Please test with your Mods folder removed, just to make absolutely sure there's nothing in that folder that's broken now.  Updates can break mods and sometimes custom content.

If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
