I'm having a very similar issue where CAS is endlessly loading. I looked it up and everyone said that it was mod related, so I went through my mods and got rid of anything and everything that could cause the issue. It continued to happen, so I started using the 50/50 method, and that worked until I got to the end, where it started happening no matter what I put in, already checked and cleared mods included. Now, I use a lot of mods. I was at over 8,000 (including sub folders, I'm very organized) when I finally decided to reset my computer completely because it wasn't worth it. I reinstalled Origin, reinstalled TS4, and started working on recovering my mods, one by one.
And on the first day, the issue happened again. I'm not nearly as close in number of mods as I used to be, but the thought crossed my mind - Is there a certain limit of mods that TS4 can handle? My computer is VERY high end and hand built, and it can handle all of the mods - and running them - with ease, so it would have to be the game itself. Is there any way to fix this? It is game breaking for me, as I like every character I make to be diverse (almost no copy-cat outfits/hair) and I do it all with alpha cc. It only started happening to me last month, and I'm not willing to give up all my cc AGAIN because of this game! I will 100% stop playing The Sims completely if I can't use my cc.
