Epic Games Free Bundle Pack Issue/Multiple Sims 4 Folders App Changes

Hi!

I hope someone can help me on here with my Sims 4 game and packs. I got in on the deal where they were doing the free bundle of Luxury Party Pack, Jungle Adventure, and Fashion Street Kit, BUT I had to create an account on Epic. So I did that, and made sure to link my account with my EA account like everyone was saying to do. Other than that bundle pack I had NEVER used Epic and after it was downloading, I went to start the game and none of the packs were on there. WOMP WOMP! So I thought, maybe I have to try it from the EA side, so I log into there and try to use the packs, but they aren't on there either. I waited a few weeks, waited for some updates and things, thinking, maybe it just needed to update. I could not figure out why I couldn't access the packs! So... I had to dig around last night on the internet, and this awesome place, and a few things I found was that I searched for the packs by their numbered names in my entire computer -- SP01, GP06, and SP24. I found all of them, but they were in a different location and not in my Electronic Arts >> The Sims 4 folder on my PC. I finally found that they were in my old Origin Games Folder, but in something called Delta?? I have no freaking clue what that is.

Background here: I had Steam through Origin Games until EA made everyone get their app. Then I made the Epic account and downloaded their app to get the free packs.

So my question is this, what is the best way to combine the Origin Games Sims 4 folders and the EA The Sims 4 folders? I think what is happening is that all of my games are in Origin Games folder, but the three that don't work are in the Delta folder INSIDE the Origin Games folder. BUT … seems like mods and saves and things were being saved in the Electronic Arts >> The Sims 4 folder. Does that make sense? Can I merge them without the game stopping to work? I'm not a serious player with the sims, I usually just like to build on there, so if I lose saves and things I'm not gonna be upset. I just want to make sure I can access all my packs and worlds, and make sure they're not in all these separate folders on my PC.

Thanks so much for your time!

  • @bundyautum535  You're supposed to have two distinct "The Sims 4" folders.  One holds the game's user data—saves, saved household and builds, mods, etc.—and is always located inn Documents > Electronic Arts.  Folders for your installed packs should never be here.

The other folder holds the game's program files, and this folder is located wherever you told the EA App, or Origin, or the Epic launcher, to install it.  For example:

    C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4

This Sims 4 folder should contain one folder per pack you've installed.  No pack folders inside "The Sims 4" means no packs are installed.  The Delta folder inside this contains data from patches, not data for the actual packs themselves, so it won't accomplish anything to move or copy these folders elsewhere.

Do your packs currently show as owned in the EA App?   If so, can you download them through Manage > Manage Add-ons?  Please also let me know what file path the EA App is reading for the game.  Open Manage > View properties and you'll see it there:
