Re: [CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 4 Unable to Start, Already Running

Hi,

I’ve been running into the abovementioned error code since yesterday, where it claims the game is already running when it’s not. I’ve done it all - ending related tasks, signing out of and back into the EA app, uninstalling and re-installing the game, uninstalling and re-installing the EA app, checking my firewall settings, checking for updates to drivers, etc. At this point I fear I might have to factory reset my PC.

To confirm, I don’t have any mods installed or any custom content. Anyone have any idea where this is coming from?

    Hi all,

    In case anyone else experiences this issue any time soon, I was finally able to fix my game by deleting the Electronic Arts folder under Documents. For me, this wasn't a huge deal since I had already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game several times, but my assumption is something in this folder might be causing the issue.
