Sounds like a mod issue, tbh.
Do you have any career stuff ? I would remove all custom content and mods to see if it works then. If it does, put them back in group to find out which one is causing the issue.

I'm using PosePlayer / MC Command Center / Wicked Whims / UI Cheats extension / TeleportAnyPlayer
I have lots of CC too (clothing and hair)
I tried to disable scripts in options but still couldn't get a job.
When I click on the phone and try to get a job it instantly closes and gives me a message saying there was a script error and it was registred at lastexception.txt.
I already tried to find a job at the computer but the same problem happened...

I had, but when this bug started I removed them.
But I'll try to remove all my mods and add 1 by 1 to see if there was a fugitive.
