error while updating?

Hi, I just updated my Sims 4 with the latest update, but since doing this update my worlds are just a white screen. I can no longer play. Help please

    @kimmy3222  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

    If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

@kimmy3222  Try pausing OneDrive syncing before moving the folder.  To see the option, right-click the cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.  I'd still like to know how the game runs in a clean folder, and if the answer is badly or not at all, I'd like a dxdiag as well.

The clean folder worked great! Do I just delete the old one now? Thanks for your help.

    @kimmy3222  The old folder has your saves and other user content in it, so I'd suggest keeping it around unless you don't care about that content.  If you do want to keep it, test the files a few at a time to make sure none of them reintroduce the problem.  If your mods and cc are an issue, and you have too many to test piecemail, try the 50/50 method:

    Saves are located in the saves folder, and saved households and builds are in Tray.  Other than those and Mods, the only folders you might care about are Screenshots and Recorded Videos.  The rest can be discarded.
