The Sims 4 doesn't crash my computer

Hello, I bought a new computer but I can't play The Sims 4. The computer crashes after a few minutes of playing. I'm sorry if it's badly written, I used Google Translate. I did a dxdiag but I don't know how to attach it here.

  • Hello, my game is finally working! After discussing it with the seller and running some tests, we concluded that the problem wasn't with the game or the computer, but something else. By changing the power strip plugged into my computer, I was able to play without any issues. So, either it was the power strip, or the adjustments the seller made worked. In any case, thank you so much for your help; I think without you, I wouldn't have been able to play.

Hello, I just noticed that the discussion title isn't working. I didn't give many details about my problem, so I'll try to be more precise. Yesterday, I installed The Sims 4 on my new computer. I was able to create a Sim, and everything seemed to work correctly, but when I moved my Sim into a house, everything started malfunctioning. My computer completely shut down and even had trouble restarting. Basically, the game doesn't work for long. Again, sorry if this isn't clear; I'm using a translator.

There are system component errors that should not occur on a new system.
If you bought the PC locally you might want to seek help from the vendor.

    If not:

    1. Hit Windows key and X.
    2. Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” or "Windows Terminal (Administrator)", whichever option is offered.
    3. Inside PowerShell, CMD or Terminal enter: (You can copy and paste the following cursive text.) DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth
    4. Press ENTER.
    5. If errors are found, notify us. If no errors were found repeat steps 1 & 2.
    6. Inside PowerShell, CMD or Terminal enter: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
    7. Press ENTER.
    8. The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here.
    9. After it reaches 100% repeat steps 1 & 2.
    10. Inside PowerShell, CMD or Terminal enter: sfc /scannow
    11. Press ENTER
    12. Post the message you receive at the end of the processes here.

Thanks for your help. I'll go see the seller tomorrow. Otherwise, if the seller can't do anything, I think I might not be able to play the way I wanted after all :(

If the seller isn't helping, you still have options.
You could reinstall Windows yourself for example.

Hello, I went to see the seller and he made some adjustments, but the game still doesn't work. The seller asked me to bring the computer back so he could examine what's wrong. I'd like to know if the seller suggests I get a new computer, will my Sims 4 game still be on my account? Or will I have to create a new account to download the game again?

The game is on your account regardless of the system you own or use.
If you get a different PC you need to use the same account as you use now because the game is bound to your current account.
But you will have to download the game again to a different machine of course.
