Excessive Loading Time (several minutes)
I recently got a new computer and installed Sims 4, but the time it takes the game to boot up from Origin is way longer than on my old machine. I have Intel i5 processor, 8gb ram and 250 gb SSD. The computer is nearly identical to my old one and it used to take maybe 10 to 20 seconds to boot, with medium/high graphics settings. I have my graphics on the default low medium and it's still taking at least a few minutes to load! How can I fix this?
Ok, sorry for triple posting, but I've just discovered that this only seems to be a problem in windowed mode. Kicking myself that I didn't try this sooner, but whatever. With fullscreen mode, I set my graphics to medium/high and put it on max resolution and it still loaded in ~15 seconds. So I'll just continue playing in fullscreen. Problem solved.
