Experiencing lag whenever moving camera

When i move my camera the camera moves all chunky and doesn't move like butter. It doesn't affect the game it just affects the camera and is really annoying.  is the any solution to this

  • @zade21910  Does this happen in fullscreen, "windowed fullscreen" (i.e. Borderless), and windowed modes?  Please test all of them, with restarts in between, even if you wouldn't want to play like this long-term, and let me know.  Please also test with no other apps running at all, and with the EA App's in-game overlay and notifications disabled.

By the way, your computer has a GTX 1050 ti, not a 1080.

@zade21910  I'm sorry, I don't really know what else to tell you.  Capping fps or enabling vertical sync might help, but that's not guaranteed.  V-sync is a setting in the game options as well as in the Nvidia Control Panel, and it only applies in fullscreen mode.  You can also set a Max Frame Rate in the Control Panel.  If you don't want to limit fps globally, use Program Settings (under Manage 3D Settings) and choose ts4_x64.exe to apply the settings only to Sims 4.  Enabling triple buffering can also help sometimes.

It's fine to play with these settings, for example testing with triple buffering on and off and trying both On and Adaptive for the vertical sync setting.  If you don't like the results, there's no harm done; just change the setting back.
