FreyaDeviluk Please test on a different lot in a different world, and if that doesn't work either, on yet another lot in a different world but in a new save. Start the new save in summer to make sure the issue isn't related to the seasons or weather.
And to be clear, did the fireflies show up properly at some earlier point? I understand you haven't played for a while, but it would still be helpful to know whether this issue is new-ish or always existed.
