I'm going to lock this thread now because it has run it's course and the original issue was fixed a while ago

I've tried everything with the only actual fix to resolve the issue being to delete all my saved games and starting a fresh one and I would prefer to continue playing my current game since I'm on generation 5.
Removing mods did nothing.
I can't get to build mode to remove any easel's as it keeps sending me back to the map selection.
I deleted every family in the game to test relationships and still was unable to go anywhere or do anything.
Deleted items in tray and that didn't help either.
Went offline, logged out and back in on Origin and even restarted my computer with no resolution.
Also tried repairing the game.
Would appreciate if somebody could assist in how to fix my game as I don't want to start a new game. I want to play the one I have...

Edit: Well, right after posting this up I tried one more option and it worked for the most part. I can play my game again. What I did was change the families lot type to "Generic" (After saving the family to my library) and it allowed me to go in to build mode. Deleted the easel and fixed a couple floors as I removed a mod that installed additional wooden floors. Changed the lot type back to "Residential" and put the family back in the house and everything is working fine again. Only downside was that they lost all their inventories and family inventory, but at least its playable again.
