Flashing Blue Icon with Loading Circle? Can't Play My Sims

Okay so recently I bought the sims 4 cats and dogs expansion and ever since or maybe even since the update (as I haven't attempted to play until today), my game refuses to work. Edit world mode works...

I am having the same problem and I'm here to figure out what is wrong. I've tried repairing the game, clearing my origin cache, and taking my mods folder out of the file.
