Flashing white screen at startup

Every time I start up the Sims 4 whether it be through Steam or the EA app it opens to a flashing white and black screen and I have to manually close it through task manager to close it.

I've tried:

- removing all mods

- repairing it on EA app

- checking for driver updates (they are all up to date)

-  reinstalled

- tried countless other tips I found on the internet including with my antivirus program from this post: https://answers.ea.com/t5/PC/White-screen-on-startup/m-p/14197166

I attached my diaxdiag

I would appreciate any and all help!

  • @JustaPersonToo  Thanks for including a dxdiag, which is almost always helpful.  Please try the suggestions here:

Or enable night mode before launching Sims 4; it can be turned on and off whenever you want.

Separately, your dxdiag crashed multiple times while running, which could be a fluke or a sign of a system issue.  So it's a good idea to run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:

    • Hit Windows key-X
    • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
    • Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes, and enter
    • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
    • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
    • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
    • Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes, and enter
    • Post the message you receive here

Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates.  If any install, restart again afterwards.

If these steps don't help, please post a new dxdiag.
