all appears to be well! thank you so so much for your help!!
@puzzlezaddict i thought the fixes had worked, as i was able to run my game smoothly for about forty minutes but i just experienced a crash again.

@kateboi Please look for a Sims 4 crash dump from this most recent crash. Click Windows key-R and copy and paste this:
%LocalAppData%\CrashDumps
When you enter, you'll see a list of .dmp files. If one of them is from Sims 4 or happened at exactly the time of the most recent crash, please upload it to a third-party filehosting site (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) and link it here.

@puzzlezaddict here's the most recent .dmp file from yesterday https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XO2hGv3wvDHN9iVhGDErgjf0_IETzAVw/view?usp=sharing however, i've had a crash this morning and that crash dump isn't in the file?

@kateboi I'm so sorry for the late reply; these two weeks since the patch have been somewhat difficult to manage. I took a look at the crash dump, finally, and it just shows an access violation. This is a very generic error: it means that the application tried to access memory at a location or in a way that Windows didn't allow. The problem is that the cause can be anything from bad mods or custom content to a corrupt game install to a game bug to interference from outside software to defective hardware. So it's necessary to narrow things down somewhat.
Are you currently playing with mods or custom content, and if so, does it help to remove them? Do you run any other apps alongside Sims 4, and does it help to shut those down? Are the crashes currently reproducible: do they happen after the same amount of time, at the same in-game time, or when you're trying to do the same thing in-game, etc.?
