Furniture will not rotate

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Build Mode
What happens when the bug occurs? When in the build mode new furniture/miscellaneous items or existing furniture/miscellaneous items cannot be rotated, even when I use the selection tool and control / option like usual. I can only place item in one direction, and I cannot turn the direction of any items.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to choose the direction I would like to place in build mode.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

I want to change and arrange items in my sims 4 homes, but I can no longer rotate items.
Have you tried playing around with the Sims 3 mouse options in the options of The Sims 4?
