Freezing on Loading Screen/Main Menu

Hi, I'm having an issue getting my game to load. It either freezes on the loading screen before even loading the main menu, or if it does get to the main menu, it freezes there. I usually play with 2 mods, but removed them prior to the last update to try to avoid anything weird happening, so I don't think that would be the issue considering they've been deleted for a few days now. I've tried repairing the game, uninstalling and reinstalling, deleting localthumbcache.package file, and moving The Sims 4 folder out of documents and onto my desktop. No luck with any of these unfortunately :/
