Game closing on launch after downloading Paranormal Stuff Pack

I wanted to get in on the sale the sims was running for Christmas/New Years, so I bought the Werewolf game pack. I noticed the first time I opened the game after installing it, the pack didn't actually show up in game. I closed out, repaired the game, and then tried again and it worked fine. It was laggy, but when is the sims 4 not?

Well, flash forward a week or so and I've got a few bucks to spare, so I get a stuff pack I've wanted the items and CAS from: Paranormal Stuff. It downloads fine, I load it up, and......my game auto-closes at the menu. It's never done that before. I try searching around online and notice I'm not the only one who's had issues after getting that pack. I remove the Sims 4 folder from my EA folder (as was suggested) and let the game load a clean install. That works, no crash. I move my original file back to where it was, crashing happens again. I don't have CC enabled (though did have CC in the folder).

I have now deleted my Mods folder entirely, as well as my saves folder and tried to play, I made it to CAS, got to click around a bit, and it auto-closed again. It's not consistent when it closes, sometimes I get to play for an hour, sometimes it's barely open long enough to load all the elements on the menu before it's closing itself. Does anyone have a fix for this that isn't just uninstalling a pack I paid money for cause it's broken as hell?
