@MiniAppleLass and @Senex-Proxy001 It's still a useful test to move your entire Sims 4 folder (in Documents\Electronic Arts) to your desktop to see whether the game will run properly with a new save in a clean folder. After you move the old folder but before you try to play again, repair the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.
If the game still crashes in a clean folder with nothing else in it, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
