My game has to be force quit every single time I start up and have a full screen pop up on my main menu.
Which is basically every time since the reapers reward event.
Happens with or without my mods installed, have tried repairing the game, using the keyboard to press 'esc' vs the mouse.
For the love of my sanity get rid of the full screen pop ups, from what I can see no one likes them.
Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.
@candii_x54 Try playing in windowed mode. Go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, open Options.ini, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).
If that doesn't help, please let me know whether your computer runs Windows or macOS.
And please continue to test with your Mods folder removed.
I have it too. It doesn’t matter what you do with your mods or anything. EA will blame everything but themselves and they won’t fix it either.
