Game crashes/freezes after update

Hi everyone, 

Since the most recent update, my game has become almost unplayable. 

What’s happening:

• Game freezes and then closes after a few minutes of play. (My main issue right now..)
• When the initial updated was released (end of July), every time I tried to load into a household, instead of entering the lot, it just sent me back to the Worlds menu. (I have since fixed this issue)
• Even without mods/CC, the crashing still happens

What I’ve tried:

• Removed all mods/CC.
• Repaired the game through the EA App. 
• Checked lastException.txt (still shows errors even vanilla). 

I’ve been playing The Sims since I was 8 (I’m 33 now), and I’ve stuck with the series through every generation. But this patch broke stability for a lot of players, both with mods and without. We all have different PCs and operating systems, yet the same issues keep coming up. It feels like the update itself is the root cause. I really hope the team can investigate this and communicate with us about a fix. 

Right now, the game feels unplayable, and for many of us this is becoming a last straw.  Is this a known bug the team is working on?  Is there any workaround until a hotfix is released?

Thanks in advance for any help. I love this series, but I need the game to actually run.
