So... the brand new ‘gaming’ laptop I bought isn’t really a good gaming laptop at all..?
Have you any suggestions or links on how I can do what you suggest? I apologise, I really am such an amateur when it comes to understanding computers and SSDs and whatnot ☹️ Thank you!

It isn't bad for gaming but as Roberta591 mentioned the small SSD means that you need to insure that most everything must be installed on your D: drive which has plenty of room. This means that when installing new programs you must select a custom install so you can specify the drive to install to. You currently have 59 GB free on your C: drive (the SSD) this is enough for now but it doesn't take more than one or two program installation to that drive before it can become critical.
