Game Crashing/Getting Stuck on Loading Screen

I do play on a laptop, but I updated my game on 9/21. At that time, I also purchased and downloaded Storybook Nursery and Crystal Creations. After I started playing the game, I ended up having issues...

@KateGold07  Does the lot you're trying to load have the Off the Grid challenge?  If so, please remove it.  Choose Load Game rather than Resume, select the lot from the world map, and click the button to enter Build mode rather than live mode.

If that doesn't help, please let me know whether you can load a different household in the same save.
