@puzzlezaddictI downloaded Origin and while it works it also slows down my computer which I really do not like. I'd rather use the ea app. Can't ea just fix this issue? I'm not the only person who has this problem.
It immediately started downloading the game so I couldn't put it in a different location, I might do that tomorrow, it's really late.
Also Origin has been finnalizing for a while and it's really not ideal.
@kabelzsofi You can always use the Move Game function within Origin after the fact. And running Origin in offline mode may keep it from slowing down your computer.
I understand you'd rather use the EA App, but the first task is to get Sims 4 running again. Once it's working in Origin, then you can try launching it through the EA App.

@kabelzsofi Okay, so the game runs properly from Origin, that's one issue sorted out. The thing is, with your computer's hardware, I'm not sure how good performance can really be, even under ideal conditions. There are a few steps you can take to improve performance a bit, but there's only so much you can do with an older, weaker system.
First, please change the size of the page file, as described here:
https://www.windowscentral.com/how-change-virtual-memory-size-windows-10
Set the initial size to 8000 and the maximum to 8192. You could increase it further, but let me know whether this helps first.
Please also try playing in a clean boot:
When you reboot, don't open anything except for Origin and Sims 4, and put Origin in offline mode as well. The idea here is to shut down all unnecessary apps and background services so all available resources can go towards running the game.
- kabelzsofi3 years agoRising Scout@puzzlezaddict The strange thing is the game ran better with the ea app and without origin.
I put origin in offline mode and it's sorta faster than it was before. I haven't done the things you wrote down but I will when I have a little more time. - kabelzsofi3 years agoRising Scout
@puzzlezaddictYeah, I can't do the first thing you linked. I can't find the "system info" thing. It's not there.

Now it works again with ea app. Strange.

@kabelzsofi Please try the suggestions I posted earlier. If you don't see System Info, there are other ways to access the same menu; just google "change page file size" or similar and follow any one of the guides that show up.
- kabelzsofi3 years agoRising Scout@puzzlezaddict I deleted and redownloaded the game and it got fixed.
