Game is loading slow
When I first got the game, it only took like 10 seconds at most to load. But now, it takes five minutes. So I deleted my sims 4 folder and tried it again, and it works as it should. But when I put it...
@eclecticallyem If your graphics chip is having issues, then yes, lowering the in-game settings can help. However, the errors in your dxdiag are more likely to be related to the driver, the software that instructs your computer on how to use the graphics processing unit.
A driver can become corrupt and not work properly, or it can be outdated and not work properly, and in either case, it's not a question of adjusting the settings—the driver simply needs to be replaced. In your case, this should be simple, as Intel has recently released a new driver for your graphics chip.
I should have mentioned it before, but be sure to restart your computer after installing the new driver, as is best practice whenever installing a driver.
@puzzlezaddict I updated the driver, and it still is taking forever to load.
@eclecticallyem Did you check OneDrive's settings? If that's not the issue, please disable any aniivirus/firewall you have, and test. (Remember to reenable it when you're done.)
If that doesn't help either, please try playing while your computer is not connected to the internet, as in, disable wifi and/or pull the ethernet cable. You can sign into Origin and put it in offline mode, then take your computer completely offline.
