im using PC and the latest version of the game (09/30/2023) and no matter what I do, my game keeps auto zooming in. I’ve unplugged both my mouse and keyboard multiple times, I’ve tried restarting my pc and sims, and the game still auto zooms, it’s made it extremely difficult to play. I’ve been struggling to finish the house I’ve been building as the game keeps zooming in.
@JoMamaa0723 Have you tried a different mouse and keyboard? If not, please do so now, even if you have to borrow them and wouldn't be able to use them long-term.
If that doesn't help, try unplugging one of the peripherals while you're playing and see whether the zooming still happens. You can use the other to move around temporarily, even if it's not ideal, and you can simply leave the game running while you do something else to see what happens. If you've zoomed out and walked away, it should be obvious that the camera has zoomed in again when you check later.
If possible, I'd also like to see a video of the problem. You can use a free video capture tool and upload an unlisted video to YouTube, or to some other filehosting site if you prefer. This site takes videos too, although they're not easy to watch without some fiddling.
