Game keeps crashing

My game keeps crashing, please help. All mods are removed, I've ran the two scans, I've tried taking all saves out and playing in a fresh save, and it still crashes. In the fresh save I can play longer than in the old one, but it still crashes eventually. Sometimes the breakpoint error pops up, other times nothing pops up and it just closes. I've also repaired the game twice if not more than twice, I can't remember now. What is there left to do? Thanks if anyone can help me. Dxdiag attached.

  • @jeri1978  Please uninstall the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine) and reinstall it.  Then try again to play Sims 4.  If it still doesn't start, please list the VC++ files you downloaded.  The links you've provided are direct download links, and they don't show which runtimes they correspond to.  I could of course try installing them on my own system to see what shows up, but I'd rather not.  It would be a lot easier to know the website where you found the links and which ones you used.

If the game starts but you get another crash at some point, please provide a crash dump.  Click Windows key-R and copy and paste this:

    %LocalAppData%\CrashDumps

When you enter, you'll see a list of .dmp files.  If one of them is from Sims 4, please upload it to a third-party filehosting site (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) and link it here.  If you see a crash dump that was written at exactly the time the game crashed, I'd like that too.  But in either case, please only upload files from after you reinstalled the EA App.

If there is no Sims 4 .dmp file, you can enable them:

    • Hit the Windows key, type "command prompt" in the box, right-click on Command Prompt in the search results, and select Run as Administrator
    • In the window, paste "reg add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps\devenv.exe" /v DumpType /d 2 /t REG_DWORD" without the outside quotes into the box, and enter
    • Launch Sims 4 and wait for it to crash (whether you can play at all or not)
    • After it crashes, wait for any crash dialogs to finish
    • Then hit Windows key-R and paste "%LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps" without quotes into the box, and enter
    • Upload the last .dmp file to a free filesharing site and link it here
    • When you want to undo the auto crash log dumps, open Command Prompt as before, paste "reg delete "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps" /f" without the outside quotes, and enter.

To be clear, I don't need the original crash dump, at least not yet, since reinstalling the EA App may help with the issue.  I just want a new one, if you can get the game running at all.
