Game lags significantly after downloading royalty and legacy

After downloading the royalty and legacy pack, my game now lags significantly. Even with extra storage space freed up on my computer, it became almost unplayable if I was playing my legacy household that currently has 8 sims. Unless I have 1 sim with a very modestly furnished household, the game lags constantly even in 1x speed. I saw online other people were having this issue too, and this only started for me after the past 2 updates and downloading the new pack. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing the game and all packs, and turned the graphics quality down to medium. It also occasionally freezes for short periods of time and takes extra loading time now. Does anyone have any advice??

    Jacquelyne25​  I've moved your thread to the Mac tech forum.  Please list the full specs of your laptop: everything under About This Mac except for the serial number.  Please also click the Storage tab and list the free and total storage.

    It would also be interesting to know whether the lag happens with your computer offline.  You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi before pressing Play.

    Hi! I unfortunately don't have a windows computer. I have a MacBook (I'm aware this isn't the best for the game but my dad got it for me as a graduation present and I don't have a desktop or windows computer to play on), so I can look that up if you know how to do that on these. It is all saves affected, the legacy save is just affected the most (I assume due to more sims and they also have a large decently detailed house), but I've never had this problem before.

    Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

    • Press Windows-Key + R
    • Type: DxDiag
    • Click on Save all Information.
    • Attach the Text File to your post

    Is it just that legacy save that's affected or also a new one ?
