I tried this and was able to get a fresh game up to CAS level but beyond CAS the game froze and wouldn't show the manage worlds option. Again, my game was fine up until the 17th Nov update!
@tidsyae Do you have a Mac? Pleaes try repairing the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.
If that doesn't help, let me know. And if your computer runs Windows, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
