Game opens on black screen and can't close

So I was checking out the library and downloaded a house, after going back to the game to put the house in my world, the game opened and the just turned black. It won't close unless I make it force quit with task manager. All that happens is it will show the opening screen, then show the little tips and spinning plum-bob logo, and then the screen just turns black. I've deleted my save files, mods, and tried starting a new game but nothing works. Can someone please help?

    Thanks for the help! It turned out one of my mods was corrupted so I just had to delete it and all my saves are back!

    @KokoTempie  Please try playing in a completely clean game folder:   Drag your existing Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, launch the game to create a new folder, start a new save, and have a look around.  If it's working, you can add any content you kept from your old game folder (saves, mods) to the new one.  But don't add the contents of Tray, or at least first go in and delete the most recent entries, i.e. the files added when you  downloaded the house from the Gallery.

    If you still get a black screen even in a clean game folder, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
