Game shutting down for no reason.

Hi, first time Ive posted. Im in the UK if that matters and play on laptop. Asus Tuff. Windows 11.

I've played sims on a gaming laptop for over a year no issues. About 2 month ago I downloaded some MODS and CC for the first time ever, the childbirth mod and some gym equipment. Anyway, after a few weeks my game shut down so I deleted the mods and CC from the folders (so that's deleted now right? Or do I need to do something else ?)

I re opened my game since deleting the mods etc and played for hours with no issues. Just the mods and CC were not in my game.

So tonight I've played normal and suddenly my game shuts down?!

I followed advise online about update drivers, move your sims4 folder to desktop, play offline, repair game, clear caches etc.. reopened the game and now furniture is disappearing whilst my mouse has hold of it.

It just keeps shutting down. What's happened. Can I fix this? I'm not great with computers and need a lot of detail about what to click and where it is etc and if I need to move folders back and things as I'm not the best at this stuff. Thanks

  • 0fd87ec4ba6dabb7  Does this happen in a new save too, or only in one save?  If only that save is affected, does it happen on all lots or only one (or a few)?  Please test and let me know, still with no mods or custom content present.

Please also provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

Hello, I haven't done anything but it's working fine now. Thank you. No idea what was happening but it seems to have sorted itself for now. If it happens again I will do what you've said and let you know. Thanks
