Update. I'm now trying the "Rename your file" and will see if that works. Sorry that I hadn't tried it before I made a post.

Your computer is generally a bit underpowered for the game and that graphics chip is not supported.
I can't think of anything else you could try.

@abbytheepic Hmmm, this sounds like a graphics card crash. One thing that might help -but no guarantees - is to perform a clean reinstall of your graphics drivers. That is removing them fully then installing a clean set.
A few years ago I had similar "weirdness" on my machine until I took this step, turns out I had a bad driver that wasn't getting detected even when I updated my drivers as normal.
Anyway, I hope this helps, but as crin says, it might be down to your machine too.- Anonymous10 years agoThank you. I just thought it was weird bc it just started doing it when I've had Sims on their since October (which is when I bought it)
