Game won’t download
Im having issues downloading the game, I was told that EA is having server issues for the sims 4. So I can’t download it. And they don’t know when it’s going to be back up. Anyone else?!

Hey there @ceeceelaa,
Are you using Origin or the EA App? What error message are you seeing when you try to download The Sims?
- @EA_Solaire For me it says 'loading' where it should be say play, I'm guessing. Its been loading for about 5 days.

it says download error please wait a while and tryagain. talked to ea they said servers are down
@ceeceelaa You probably know that the TS4 base game recently is free. I recommend trying when the EA servers load would be the lowest. My guess would be a week day midnight to 5:00 AM PST.

Let's try the following steps:
- Clear the cache for the EA App
- Run the EA App as an administrator
- Try lowering the UAC Settings
- Check for any background applications blocking the app and your download
- Try a clean boot on your PC and start the download again

Only way I could get it to download was through origin. I don’t care which one works. Just hopefully they get the game up and running on EA before origin is no more. I had issues with the game before. Just did a new install and added mods and cc back into it and any issues I had before are solved. Hope this helps others.
- @EA_Solaire I want to start the download again, but I don't know how to do a clean boot of my PC because I'm no tech genius and the instructions just look scary and risky.
