Game won't load main menu after installing Snowy Escape
Hiya!
So I just downloaded Snowy Escape a few days ago and after doing so, my game will not load the main menu. The main Sims 4 logo comes up, followed by the spinning pumbob, and then boom. Crash. I tried launching the game without my mods folder, as I do have quite a lot of mods, but that did not fix the issue. After that, I reset the game as detailed here, and the game launched fine.
However, after letting the game sit unplayed for about a day and trying to launch the game again, I had the same issue. So, I repeated the process. I let the game sit for another day. Same issue.
Now every time I want to boot up and play the game, I have to spend about 20 minutes copying the game file and restarting my computer. It's a pain, frankly, and I want to know if there are any known fixes to this issue. I tried to attach the LastCrash txt file but was given the following message: "The attachment's lastcrash.txt content type (text/plain) does not match its file extension and has been removed." If there's another way to upload this information, do let me know!
@DaeDreamer93 So the game runs in a completely clean folder, but not in a folder with your other content minus the mods? Do you happen to have OneDrive enabled and set to automatically sync the contents of Documents with cloud storage? If so, please either disable the auto syncing or disable OneDrive entirely.
If that's not the issue, please start with a(nother) clean Sims 4 folder, then add back your content a little at a time until the game stops working. Let me know what content caused the issue as well as what you could add without any problems.
