@YoungGreatQueen The missing name may be irrelevant here; the "already running" error is common and has a few known fixes or workarounds. First, if OneDrive is running on your computer (whether you use it or not), try pausing syncing. You can see the option by right-clicking the cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.
If that doesn't help, please move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

OneDrive is already turned off on my end, so I took out the old electronic arts folder and allowed it to make a new one, and it loads the game to the loading screen but gets stuck.

@YoungGreatQueen Please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

And let me know if you happen to have installed Sims 4 through Steam. I don't actually know whether the EA App would throw this error in that case, but it's worth checking.

Hi, thank you for all your help. I realized something happened to my driver and the directory of where Sims 4 and the mods were going were messed up, so I had to go back and refollow the videos I used when I got my new drive. https://youtu.be/AaLnm8t7hgk?si=Ju_DNOkpSJQvAIiv , https://youtu.be/kNU-DeMc7Ew?si=Z7sRyZtkkap0tGAW
