Get Famous - Game is generating unlimited famous sims

Since getting Get Famous I have gotten tens of auto generated sims in my Other Households tab.

I like to keep my own story line and have created my own world with only my sims. I always delete the few newly generated sims, but with Get Famous it generates way too many new sims. Within one load (just now) it generated 84 sims. I have already set my cap to 80, so this exceeds my cap. These sims do not get counted to my cap. Whenever I remove the celebrity level of these Other Household sims, it just generates even more sims. Especially on lots where there's a minimal celebrity level they need to have, the game keeps generating even more and more sims. All of these 80+ sims PLUS my 45 own households all swarm my famous sim, which makes my game lag insanely. 

I would like to see a fix for this or just an option to not get any auto generated sims. I know this is hard to do, because the game needs random sims for roles such as bartenders, bouncers, etc. Perhaps when exceeding a certain amount of Other Households, it just stops generating them? Is there anything I can do myself to fix this (I already made a few sims and after they are finished I cancel it, so that they end up in Other Households, to try and prevent more auto generated sims)?
