Getting rid of paintings in sims 4

Hello, I'm trying to put a door on a wall and can't because there are paintings on the wall. I can't seem to get rid of the painting. The wall disappears. Can someone please tell me how I make the wal...

    click the walls icon at the top right of your screen

    depending how you play it the clicks will rotate between walls completely down . outer walls only up , all walls up
