im sorry but the answer in no, i had the same problem where on my laptop i only have about 2 GB on it and sims 4 needs 10 GB. i contacted EA games for help and they said u cant use a usb or flashdrive to install it beacause the game needs to be downloaded on ur actual laptop/pc so now i have to refund it.

r u sure you cannot do this i was on another site and they say that they did it and it works just fine,I just need to know if I need to buy a external hard drive or will that work? I may be a little late but maybe someone can help!

It may be possible but I wouldn't recommend. You can set the path to install in Origin but if you get a different drive letter next time you put it in, the game won't play.
External hard drives have the same issue though.
Depending on the speed, it might also be slow.
- Anonymous8 years agoI have downloaded it to 2 cards a 256G SDXC and a 16G.. both were used in phones or tablets previously and they work fine.. now I am trying to put it on a 64G SDXC that has never been used and it wont work I dont get it lol
