@107531kop You can try playing another household for a few sim-hours and then switching back to the Goths; hopefully Mortimer will still be alive when you get back. (And you can quit without saving if he isn't.) Or you can try using a previous save. You'll lose a bit of progress, but maybe you'll avoid the household glitching out. Here's how to recover a save:

- 6 years ago@puzzlezaddict thanks, I'll try the playing from another family first and then switch... if that doesn't work I'll recover the save... I won't be losing a lot of game progress because in that gameplay I switch between families a lot
- 6 years ago@puzzlezaddict I've tried both... still the same problems... I summoned several of them to the lot of another active household via Deaderpool's mod, they do turn up, but are invisible, the only thing that's visible are their thought bubbles...

@107531kop Try loading the save, or a backup of the save, in a clean game folder. Move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. Launch the game, which will create a clean folder; you can quit at the Main Menu. Then copy the save or one of the backups in to the Saves folder inside the clean Sims 4 folder, but don't add anything else. Just see whether you can play another household for a few sim-hours and switch back to the Goths.
You can ignore any missing objects warning you get—it's easy enough to add some custom content back later, that is if the Goths are playable in the clean folder. The point of this is to find out whether that's possible at all.
- 6 years ago@puzzlezaddict Have done so, but in the time since my initial question about this problem I've talked with lots more people experiencing the same problems or similar ones since the last patch update so I've made a bug-report and since I've checked with clean games and normal games (it really is a game bug). When updating the game I always take out mods/cc first, update & repair, test clean game, then close the game and go through my mods/cc to check for updates/problems and if they're clean I add them again before playing once more.
