I might be completely out of touch with reality here, but my game has always looked like this? I'm probably just used to it, but I feel like, in your photos, the game is just how it's always looked. Can I ask what you upgraded from? If you were once playing on low, or medium, most textures will have collectively looked a bit blurry and soft. Once you upgrade, and move your settings to ultra, a lot of the textures become a lot better, better lighting, shadows, things are more crisp, but there are quite a lot of objects in the game that still maintain this blurry, jagged, weird spikey mesh with blurry, low quality textures. Usually plants and small decor. I find that when I upgraded, having the great textures contrast with the less quality objects just made some of the objects look worse due to the direct comparison so maybe that is what you're noticing. I don't know if this made any sense, but I wouldn't think any program would be directly altering the visuals, unless you maybe are using reshade? Messing with Nvidia Control Panel can always help improve things a bit for you if messing with the in game settings doesn't really make it look bareable, but in terms of 'Is something wrong with my GPU/Laptop? I very much doubt it, so don't stress! 🙂
