Group Conversation Ruins Dates/Outings
In general, I have found group conversation to be largely a hindrance.
Say I take two Sims, Mortimer and Bella, on a date. Ideally, they would both sit together and talk with each other.
But, as it stands now, When you have two Sims out somewhere--- date or otherwise, Bella will say hello to Mortimer when they first arrive at the lot, but then, she'll just do her own thing... despite them "being on a date" or "hanging out."
If by some miracle you get Bella and Mortimer talking with each other, pretty soon a third sim, Nancy Landgrab, will just enter their conversation--- or a 4th, 5th, or 6th...
Group Conversation is great--- but it needs reworking for when Sims are trying to have a romantic evening together. There needs to be someway where other Sims on the lot understand Mortimer and Bella are trying to have a private chat, and don't want to be disturbed. A Sim coming over to say hello or a waiter taking their order is fine, but in general, these two sims should be allowed to talk uninterrupted.
I know this was touched on briefly with the Gurus concerning DINE OUT--- Gurus stated that Sims out at a restaurant WOULD NOT play musical chairs.
Okay, So, if two Sims are on a date--- they won't change chairs, but will other sims still be able to interject in their conversation?
And ALSO--- Whatever aspect of this issue was addressed for DINE OUT, is it exclusive to Dine Out only? I assumed the large June patch might have addressed this, but there's no mention of it anywhere in the patch notes.
