having weird sims4 bugs that nobody has been able to help with?
i play on a windows 10. so, my game started out by occasionally being pixelated when i opened it— this started recently after the new update. then, last night it half-froze. the plumbob was still spinning, i could move the mouse and the game camera around, and i could hover over buttons on the screen. however, the buttons did not work or open an action.. for example, i could hover my mouse over the menu button and it would say “menu” but upon clicking it, no menu appeared. My game was paused and the windows task bar would not let me force quit the game. i tried Alt + F4 which did nothing. i also noticed that the “go to world map” button in the top right option bar thingy was erased, like it was empty space. i ultimately restarted my pc and rebuilt my build.
here’s the new problem on top of that:
today, i opened my game and started playing and the game was ignoring the existence of one of my sims. my household has three people, and one of them had no queue or emotions, and i could not see their sim information. they still interacted and existed in game, but it just was not working. i ended up deleting this sim hoping that would solve my problem, but then upon reopening my game my two remaining sims’ moodlets would not show what they were, just a colored square.
my lazy sim was also autonomously doing chores?
i checked all of my mods and tried playing the game vanilla, but the same problems occurred. i also started a new save, loaded in the family from my gallery, and loaded in the house, but to no avail. all of the same problems! while testing my game half-froze again but the game wasn’t paused and i had to restart. i have tried what feels like everything and this is my last resort. i’m not sure if i’ll get any replies, but if you think you might be able to help please let me know! i have spend thousands of hours and hundreds of dollars on this game, so it better not give out on me now.
