Hello I
Hello I am hoping that someone can figure this out for me. I have had this issue for some time. When I play the Sims 4 I only build, but after a few minutes in build mode the sims just shuts down and...
@Rsteph75 You should configure OneDrive to not sync the user files for this game. The game creates a user game folder in c:/user/(name of user)/documents/(electronic Arts. The folder is not created until the game successfully starts the first time. Open OneDrive settings and uncheck the Electronics Arts folder. This should stop OneDrive from syncing the game user files. I also check the keep files on this computer. When the game tries to write new file(s) to the game user folder, that data is redirected by Windows to the user OneDrive folder to sync. Windows may not start the sync process right away and while Windows is syncing that data may (probably) be unavailable. When you configure OneDrive to keep files on this computer you should notice files being returned. I also noticed that you can not change OneDrive settings when it is syncing - you have to it finish before you can change the settings. Just unlinking the computer does not stop the issue. Microsoft really (and I mean really really) wants you to use OneDrive. I figure if MS went through all this trouble to annoy me the least I can do is make OneDrive happy. hth
