HELP! Can't Open Sims 4 or Origin

HELP!

Two days ago I stupidly deleted "AMD Radeon Software" and "AMD Radeon Settings Lite" from my laptop. My friend told me this was my graphics card and showed me how to restore my laptop so they were no longer deleted. The two programs are now installed again but I can't get my Sims 4 or Origin apps to open ☹️ Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

  • @asterah77  All the relevant crashes in your dxdiag are of a component of the EA App, so please uninstall it with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine) and reinstall.  Here's a guide in case it helps:

    • Download Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine) from here.
    • Launch Revo, select the App, and click Uninstall.
    • Cancel the system restore point; you don't need it/
    • The EA App may open a window.  Click Uninstall, then in the Revo window, click Moderate under Scanning modes, and click Scan.
    • Revo will present a list of registry entries.  Click Select All, then Delete: you don't need or want to preserve these entries.
    • For the leftover files and folders, click Select All, review the list and deselect anything you'd like to keep (this is unlikely, but it's worth checking), click Delete, and you're done.
    • Close Revo, and restart your computer.

Download a fresh copy of the EA App installer and run it.  Try to launch Sims 4 from within the App, not from your desktop shortcut.

If you still can't play, please look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor.  Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day.  Today is on the right.

Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent attempt to launch Sims 4, specifically after you've reinstalled the App.  If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here.  If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.
