@chocogotho Did you test without mods ?
Create a backup of your save, then remove all mods, delete localthumbcache and test without. If it works, start putting mods back until you find the cause.

yes i have, to no avail. however, i did remove the mods folder and household loaded. i knew it was a mod issue. but which one is causing it, and how do i find the defective files?

Use the 50/50 method: http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Finding_Problem_Custom_Content- 5 years agoI don't think I found anything on there that helped me. The application that was mentioned was for the Sims 2. Is there like a way where I could share my mods and see which is the defective one?
- crinrict5 years agoHero+@chocogotho did you scroll down to where it says 50% Method ? It's really just a method you use to find cc: https://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Finding_Problem_Custom_Content#The_50.25_Method
and no, mods sharing is not allowed here.

so, I did that for all of the mod files, and it still won't open up my household. Separated half by half by half and all of them have an issue. And this started happening after i took my sims to selvadorada. and my other save files are perfectly fine, though. also, i moved my sims to another lot and it loaded fine. the lot includes custom content.
